February & March 2009: Terminator Salvation
![]() My Terminator Salvation movie prequel continues, with issues 2 and 3 (of 4). "In the African country of Niger, Bem's plan to take out the uranium mine depends on the outcome of his face-off against a lone T-600. In Detroit, Michigan, Resistance leader Elena Maric's forces launch their all-out assault on the Terminator factories. But Skynet is not without its resources, and even the mysterious package airdropped in the middle of the desert may not be enough to turn the tide of operation Sand in the Gears in favor of the humans."
Januray 2009: Archibald and Terminator Salvation
![]() I've got 2 comics out in January: Archibald Chases the Dragon (Image Comics) and Terminator Salvation #1 (of 4) (IDW Publishing). Archibald is a one-shot, following the zany noir adventures of Tinseltown's famous Archibald Aardvark. This book takes the classic animation of Fleischer Studios and kicks it out a moving car in the middle of Roman Polanski's Chinatown. (preview here). Terminator is a 4-issue prequel to the upcoming movie starring Christian Bale as John Connor. The story follows the human resistance fighters and spans the globe, from Terminator factories in Detroit to a uranium mine in Niger. (preview here)

Welcome Melt magazine readers
If you heard about this site via the Brainbot, Jr. comic strip in Melt magazine, then welcome. My name is Dara, I'm a comic book writer, and Ferret Press is my self-publishing imprint. I'm also a founding member of PANEL, a Columbus-based writers/artists collective, which my partner-in-crime Tom Williams is also a member of. To date we have published 8 volumes of our Panel anthology, which you can preview alongside my solo projects in the Books section of this site. And finally, don't forget to check out our group Blog, where you'll find our musings on comics, art, the creative process, politics, the web, and life.
